Chain Testing

Last week on the Richard Hammond television programme on BBC2 they showed the engineering problem that had to be overcome on the Millau viaduct.

In this programme they carried out a series of tests to compare the strengths of chain against rope. In these tests the programme used our tensile load cell with a readout linked to a laptop computer to record the load profiles.
